More Updates: The Slacker Files

Good morning everyone.

Well, what can I say. I've been severely lacking with my sketching and blog posting. I have been working in an occasional sketch here and there though. Especially lately. October always gets me in the mood to draw scary stuff, monsters or other related things.

So today I bring you Shinobi, faces, Vampirella, a werewolf, and a gung-fu sword movement study.

A Brief Respite

Well, the storm at work may be over for a time.

It has been a crazy couple of weeks. Lots of overtime, lots of packed days, not a lot of sleep.

And I also haven't been remembering about this blog, usually, till I get home at night. And by then I'm in bed and say to myself that tomorrow will be different and I'll actually get back to sketching and showing you all those doodles.

But obviously that has not been the case for a while. As such I'm giving you another batch of sketches that were done earlier.

Hope ya'll think they're enjoyable and I hope that I'll be able to resume a normal blogger schedule next week (I'm already counting tomorrow as another wash).

Trying to Get the Band Back Together

Good afternoon everyone.

It's a beautiful, sunny day here outside of ninjaboy's honbu dojo. The GF and our daughter are out of town for the day, and I'm taking some time before I have to start running errands, mowing the lawn and doing some housework before I go out to watch UFC 150 with some friends this evening.

And so, I decided to 'finally' post some sketches that I had done but never got around to posting for various lame reasons.

Work has finally slowed down for me and so I think that I'll be able to get back on track with my original 'sketch-a-day' intentions.

So without further delay, here is another sketch dump. These have been created using a mix of CS3 and Sketchbook Pro.

A LONG Overdue Update

Good evening everyone.

I'm finishing up the last of my 3 days off from work, and have a 'decompress' day to myself. I was able to get some laundry done, did some cleaning, installed a new weather seal on our front door, and managed to finish Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. What a fantastic game. I'm really looking forward to starting the second game in the series.

But before then I have some new demos to play.

I'm getting off the point, sorry about that. After I finished the game and some chores I realized that I have not updated anything new to this blog in quite some time. So I would like to fix that right now.

I have been doing some sketching in my laptop from time to time, though not as often as I would have liked due to continual crunching at work. But at any rate, here are some new sketches. Hope you dig em'.

Catching Up

Well, my plan to stay on track with this thing fell off the rails a bit huh?

But even though I didn't post on Thursday or Friday, that doesn't mean that there wasn't sketching being done.

I got a page of sketchbook time in on Thursday, but wasn't able to get anything done Friday. However I did get a page of drawing done today.

I'm pretty sure that it might be hard to get my sketching done this next week as work is going to keep me CRAZY busy to make up for this week of snow days. Just a warning.

So, here is content for those days, just a little late.

Tuesday Mobile Update

Good evening everyone. Sorry about not posting yesterday, the plan to move my sketches over via my phone hit a small snag.

So, here is my sketch of Cammy from Friday along with a page of sketches I did last night. I have a few sketches going today that I will post before bed. It's been an interesting snow day here that actually kept me pretty busy. But I will have something to post for today before I hit the sack.

The Internets, I Has Them.... Barely

Wow. What a week it has been.

We are once again firmly trenched in for another round of internet battle at the apartment. We switched to a different provider with the understanding that we would be getting more reliable internet signal, and a reliable billing process.

Only to find that the internet speed is a fraction of what was promised, and less than acceptable for this modern age.
Too slow for Netflix streaming (another reason we got rid of our previous cable TV).
Incredibly slow downloading games, or game related materials (it took me 16 hours to download the copy of inFAMOUS I got from Sony).

We are in the process of hopefully getting this all sorted out, but it really took a bite out of my week. And getting any sketching done.

Today I had about 5 minutes to do a sketch so I finally did one.

It's a really iffy sketch of a shinobi perched above his prey. Or the guard of his prey. Or is he just avoiding being discovered so he can exit with the information he was hired to retrieve?
I'll leave that to you.
